Evy went to the Broward County Spelling Bee as the Champion of Panther Run. There were maybe 80 kids there with maybe 8 fourth graders. All other kids there were glued to flash cards. Evy got ready with Subway Surfers. She first went through a 50 word written test (written list of words in the slide show). After that she didn't think she would advance however she was called. Video misses her name but catches her reaction. She was one of 3 fourth graders up there out of 25 in all. She got through the first round with "linseed" and secured a top 20 finish. She got "panzer" in round 2 and guessed "panser". It can be rightfully pointed out that this is not an English word. First photos are from the school bee in January. She vows vengeance next year and plans to study. We are very proud of her.
