Brian was younger than the youngest age group (13-17). He finished first out of ten runner less than 13 and beat the next closest such runner by 4 minutes.
If you put him in the 13-17 boys division he would have been #4 as seen below. In fact, he almost assuredly would have been #2 in that had we not gone off course near the end by mistake.
